something to blog about: 23 and a half
Happy new year and stuff.
The holidays came and went, didn't they?
School's back in session.
Funny: when it all ended mid december, I didn't know what to do with myself. I felt so lazy. Now that I've accustomed myself to being lazy again, I don't know how to get back on the train of mathematical thought again. Horrid Idleness. No good.
So, I figure, I'll give myself something to blog about. The emotions have been in full swing as of late - but I'm really not in shape to be blogging about them. Just feeling a bit lazy about it all. There's that word again. Lazy.
So, let me tell you about my weekend.
This past weekend, I watched 24.
End of story. That's it. Nothing else happened.
(ok, so I did eat, and I slept some, and I took care of 5 hours of work I was scheduled for on Saturday, but other than that - I just watched 24)
Season 1: anybody out there ever watched 24 on DVD?
Unfortunately, Friday was the first time my sister or I ever even laid our eyes on the face of Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer. I rented the 1st disc of season 1 of the show - and from that moment on, we were both hooked.
Now, if we would have started watching the show a few years ago when it was only on for 1 hour every week, we probably would not have become so addicted so quickly. But, when you have the entire season in front of you on DVD - well, the word "cliffhanger" takes on a whole new meaning. Unfortunately, within the first 15 minutes of the first episode, we were both hooked.
So, I don't need to give you the exact details of just how much time I spent in front of the TV this weekend - all you need to know is that we finished the first season tonight. yes, and we started it on Friday. I don't think I've ever watched a season of anything that fast. The producers certainly know how to hook people to a product. Maybe they found a way to streamline caffiene into the tv waves as they reach your eyes - then somehow connecting that to your bloodstream - and voila - you're hooked.
Of course, 24 has been a very satisfying show for me thus far - but in my humble opinion, my heart still belongs to sydney bristow and her adventures on Alias. Oh, thank goodness the new season is under way - and it's turned out quite intriguing thus far - if I do say so myslef. All I can say is that Sydney truly is my hero.
That's all I'm going to say for tonight. It's time for me to hit the sack, for sure. just let me say for now - it's good to be back. hopefully I can find something interesting to write about every day. Until then -
Out.
